Quiz Night on New Years Day!

Contrary to previous information, there WILL be a quiz on Sunday 1st January, so if you've got any energy left and the hangover isn't too bad, come along and join in. And remember it's a bank holiday on Monday!

Tim and all at the Barge would like to wish everybody a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year!
Next happenings:
There will be no quiz night on Boxing Day or New Year's Day; the next quiz will take place on Sunday 8th January 2012.
UPDATE 31/12/2011: There WILL be a quiz on New Year's Day!!!
Please come along and get the grey matter working again.
Also there will be no live music over the holiday period, the next live event being our 'Bards At The Barge' open mic on Wednesday January 4th. |

MONDAY CANCELLATIONS

Due to dwindling audience numbers over the last few months it is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of all Monday night 'Folk at the Barge' gigs until further notice - the pub has been losing money on these nights and simply cannot afford to continue to do so.
As I'm sure you will all be aware, this is not a decision that has been taken lightly; we have been hosting Monday night folk/blues/jazz without a break for 20 years (since 1991) and are very sorry to let it go.
We would like to extend our deepest thanks to everybody who has supported us over the years, players and punters alike.
Wednesday and Saturday gigs are not affected by this decision and will continue as advertised (this includes 'Bards at the Barge' open mic night, on the first Wednesday of each month).
