"Some really fine acoustic blues and refreshing to hear something that's not heavy duty Delta style. Jaunty and enjoyable and worth looking into." (Blues in Britain magazine)
Wednesday 17th February 2010, 8.30pm Dan Clews + The Flowing
After spending a couple of years honing his craft on the UK’s live circuit Dan moved to Sweden and threw himself into the music scene, collaborations there resulted in two sold-out releases with, ‘The Stars Above’.
It was this recording that helped Dan to secure a publishing deal with George Martin Music. Sir George said,
"I was introduced to Dan Clews by a friend. I have always tried to support young musicians and Dan's music impressed from the first listen. He is too great a talent to ignore and it's a great pleasure to be his publisher."
Support slots for Bloc Party, Jeffrey Lewis, Air Traffic, The Good Books, Clear Lake and The Brute Chorus, in addition to airplay & live sessions on radio stations such as XFM, Absolute and the BBC have further cemented Dan’s reputation as a rising star.
Dan’s forthcoming self-titled album was recorded during sessions at Air and Abbey Road Studios with, amongst other producers, double Grammy winner Giles Martin, whose award winning work on The Beatles’ 'Anthology' and 'Love' albums has established him as one of the UK’s top producers.
