Simply one of the best singer/songwriters around; Bill's songs are performed live solo, as a duo or in bands of up to six members: you should hear them soon.
The sheer quality of the work is evident at once - this is, after all, a man whose voice can be heard behind artists as diverse as David Bowie, Robert Plant and Kylie Minogue, and whose writing credits range from the mainstream - the infamous PWL hit factory, commercials, TV and film music (including the 'Sister Act' soundtrack) - to the experimental: try dropping names like Yellow Note, Happyhead and 7Kings.
Other gigs at the Barge by Bill Clift:
07/09/2009, 02/03/2009, 11/08/2008, 21/01/2008, 28/05/2007, 14/08/2006, 23/01/2006, 14/02/2005, 24/05/2004, 29/12/2003
What can you say about Lupen Crook that hasn't already been said. Twisted stomach churning folkster, genius, both?
"Utterly compelling" - NME
"Original and highly concentrated stuff" - Mojo
"Lupen Crook stands alone as one of the few artists around who seriously defies categorisation. Indisputible genius, sublime stuff" - The Fly
"To say the atmosphere of a gig rests on the proverbial knife’s edge is a rare statement indeed. For Lupen Crook and his band of birds however, it illustrates just how captivating their agitated pop is - and the stop start animation of the band can be visually seen to make its onlookers flinch with expectation" - Artrocker

Saturday 27th March 2010, 8.30pm Medway Eyes Presents... Back To The 70's
Medway Eyes is an informal umbrella organisation that supports, promotes and collaborates with Medway artists and venues.
Medway Eyes have a fair trade ethic, they don't exploit artists, because they are artists themselves. So far projects have ranged from photography exhibitions to gigs, but who knows what will turn up next.
Go have a look at their website and give them your support.
"In this day and age it’s truly a very rare guitarist/song writer who can deliver the power of rock on an acoustic. Quite possibly the BEST EVER acoustic solo artist performance that I’ve ever seen!" Classic Rock Magazine April 2009.
With his unique style and presence Robert delivers a wealth of styles and emotions throughout the roots spectrum. His psychedelic folk blues country rock performances are unique yet accessible.
In The past Robert has played a Headline show at the Cambridge Folk Festival and the Clare World Music Festival.
Either performing solo or with his full band, the live shows are full of sonorous dynamics with an intensity and energy that radiates from the stage.
